Trade Center bombing case ends in victory for plaintiffs

In a case often overshadowed by the events of 9/11, but closely watched by attorney's and victim families, the New York Port Authority was found guilty of negligence in the 1993 parking garage bombing in the first attempt to destroy the towers by Islamic militants and terrorists.

These cases represent over 400 plaintiffs from various walks of life who either died, were injured or suffered the loss of their businesses due to the bombing, and the court decided yesterday in less then a day of deliberations that the Authority hadn't established adequate safeguards and procedures to protect the tenants and occupants of the garage.

Further details on the case to follow.
