Sports Illustrated loses key ruling.

In a blow to Time Inc, A federal appeals court ruled they are not protected by Alabama law in trying to protect a confidential witness.

This is a fascinating case, and one that the Legal Broadcast Network will be doing a full one hour show on in the next few weeks. At issue is the use of a confidential source in a story that led to a defamation suit against Sports Illustrated. Another great read for you first amendment junkies and those who practice in the are of civil defamation suits.
