Vioxx trial to proceed in Texas

As reported in our podcast that is up on the site this afternoon, Merck has attempted to delay the Texas trial on the ground that the jury pool is "contaminated" by the Texas Attorney Generals recent suit he filed against Merck on behalf of the citizens of Texas. The details are right here and make interesting reading.

We will try to get our associated expert, Attorney Richard Arsneault on this week to give you at least a podcast update, or if possible he will join us live on our weekly show to give you an update on the progress of this crucial case. Attorney Mark Lanier is the lead attorney and how he handles this is being closely watched all over the country, but the judges refusal to delay the jury selection is a good sign that he is interested in keeping the case moving and won't give into needless delay tactics.
