« Vioxx Verdict. $229 million to family. | Main | The American Jury Project. »

Merck is taking a beating.

As reported in todays NY Times article, Merck is getting clobbered so far in the first Vioxx trial.

Of course no one knows how it will all play out, but as reported right here on The Legal Broadcast Network by Attorney's Jan Schlichtmann, Attorney Richard Arsenault and Attorney Dan Becnel, the trial is going very well for the plaintiffs so far and Merck is definitely back on it's heels at the mid point in the trial. If you want to hear what they have to say, click here to listen to Jan Schlichtmann and Richard Arsenault discuss the case on our latest podcast.

In the words of Dan Becnel, Attorney Mark Lanier is one of the finest trial lawyers in the nation at taking a complex, cold topic and transforming into a case in which the average jury can receive the technical facts, but also comprehend the story and big picture of the trial. So far everyone who has either watched in person or read the transcripts agrees Attorney Lanier is doing a masterful job.

We will be bringing you fresh analysis all next week and the week after as the case proceeds, as well as other important news, such as the class certification in NJ state course on the Vioxx litigation that occurred just last week. If it's happening in Vioxx litigation you will hear it here from the attorney's closest to the action.
