« NJ Vioxx trial at the mid way point. | Main | Roberts nominated for Chief Justice. »

Vioxx cases moved to Houston.

As reported on Fox News online, the Vioxx cases are being temporarily moved to Houston, TX from the 5th district court in New Orleans so that these cases can continue to proceed through the process to the anticipated first trial in early November.

Good news for plaintiffs, and bad news for Merck, who would have benefited from the delay. Thankfully the federal court system uses back up servers in other locations so that all the electronic filings and documents can be easily moved to the new location with minimum delay and grief.
