Jan Schlichtmann interviews from Mass Torts Made Perfect.

In the latest release of the video's from the Mass Torts Made Perfect Conference Civil Action Attorney Jan Schlichtmann interviews Attorney Robert Wood, Attorney Roberta Ashkin and Attorney Robert Foote. These three interviews, all available by clicking on the TV sets below cover a broad range of topics. Attorney Roberta Ashkin is one of the nations leading mass tort attorneys, but in this podcast talks with Jan about the formation of her new firm, Ashkin Law, and it's emphasis on legal issues of interest to women, as well as providing a law firm where women looking for legal representation can have a greater comfort level in dealing with an attorney with a unique understanding of the issues and concerns they might have. This is a very good podcast for women lawyers, law school students and women who are researching law firms or lawyers to represent them. Attorney Robert Wood is one of the nations leading tax experts, particularly on the taxation of damages, structured settlements and 468b settlement trusts used in Mass Torts. In this video he discusses with Jan Schlichtmann the development of the trusts used in cases such as the Danversport explosion, Wilmington/Unity trust, Massachusetts Public Shade Tree Trust and the recently formed ESA anemia drug trust, and how these trusts work for the benefit of trial lawyers, defendants and injured parties. Attorney Robert Foote is one of the nations leading class action and mass tort lawyers and he joins Civil Action Attorney Jan Schlichtmann to specifically discuss the formation of the ESA anemia drug trust, it's potential for resolving issues involving potential damages caused by drugs such as Procrit, Epogen and Aranesp, as well as existing mass tort cases such as Vioxx and Accutane. A good primer on how these trusts might work in large scale litigation.
