What Happened to the G.O.P.?

Barack Obama won a strong victory over John McCain while Democrats made strong gains in the United States Senate and House of Representatives. The Republican Party after eight years of the Bush Administration is at its lowest ebb since the 1970s. Some say it is the end of conservative politics. How serious is the situation for the Republican Party? Where should the Party go now? Who will be future Republicans leaders? Is the nation still a center right nation?
