Implications of the Mumbai Attack
Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 06:33AM According to Douglas Woodwell, "Last week's attack on India's financial center has broad implications on global stability, nuclear proliferation and security against terrorism". He says the Mumbai siege, in which well trained gunmen arrived by boat and claimed hundreds of lives represents not only a distrubing new development in terror tactics but also a breakdown in regional stability.
Douglas Woodwell is an expert in terrorism, international conflict and national and international security.
He teaches international relations at the University of Indianapolis.
