Should We talk With Hamas

During the election the idea of approaching our enemies was argued intensely, with Republicans and Democrats strongly disagreeing. The new President has stated that he would attempt to find a road to peace, if appropriate—particularly in the Middle East—even if that means talking with those we’ve named terrorists. But how far should America go, and how do we reach across cultural and religious barriers to find peace?

Charles Neff is a specialist in international politics, cross-cultural learning, and international development. He’s had extensive experience with cultural tolerance and overcoming cultural and religious roadblocks to communication. From business training in the Russian Far East, Peace Corp Training in Germany, and playing trumpet in jazz clubs around the world, Charles has learned how to reach across cultural fences.
