Sean Carter Discusses Confirmation Snoozefest

Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor appears headed to a speedy confirmation after her last day of questioning on Capitol Hill. Senator Jeff Sessions, the ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, said he won’t try to filibuster a vote on Sotomayor’s nomination. During her closing remarks, Sotomayor said her judicial record in untainted by personal views.

Despite the Senate's most fervent efforts, there's about as much drama surrounding the Sotomayor confirmation vote as there is surrounding virtually everything else that Congress does.

Scott Drake interviews Law Humorist, Sean Carter. Carter is a lawyer, author, columnist and frequent lecturer on constitutional issues.
