Stern v. Marshall Amicus Brief Discussion

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, the National Black Chamber of Commerce hosted a teleconference which discussed an amicus brief co-authored by Lanny Davis, legal expert and former special counsel to President Bill Clinton, and David Rivkin, attorney and constitutional law scholar who served in the administrations of both Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush.  The brief – sponsored by the National Black Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) ! and the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) - focuses on the well known Anna Nicole Smith estate case known as Stern v. Marshall and the civil rights implications. Scott Welch – a National Board Representative at ABOTA - stressed the potential implications this case may have on the right to a trial by jury in civil cases.
