Nancy Kerrigan says she will "stand by her brother"

(Thaindian News) Nancy Kerrigan has declared that she will support her brother in the case of the homicide charge that has been slapped on him. This year itself, in January, Daniel Kerrigan, the father of the erstwhile Olympic skater was killed after he had an altercation with his son, Nancy Kerrigan’s brother. The fight had turned violent, following which Daniel Kerrigan had died. The court ruled the death to be homicide. Nancy Kerrigan, however, has claimed that she would be standing by her brother, although she admits that her father was the life of the family.

The report of the medical examiner who had performed the tests on the body Daniel Kerrigan ruled that the voicebox of the man had been damaged during the fight with his son, Mark Kerrigan. Following that, he had suffered from a heart attack and died. Since the death had led from an assault by Mark Kerrigan, the court ruled it as homicide. The trial is still on, and Mark Kerrigan has pleaded not guilty to the charges of assault on an older person.

Nancy Kerrigan has commented that she would be sticking to her brother in the proceedings of the trial, stressing that the ruling by the court has been “unjustified.” She further said that the fact that her brother was responsible for the death of her brother seemed really absurd, as he had been a sort of role model for the entire family, someone her brothers always tried to imitate. She admitted to having seen her brother a couple of times, and she feels that standing by him in those tough times “says a lot.”
